Two Agreements Signed between China and Suriname

Two Agreements on Economic and Technical Cooperation between China and Suriname were signed on April 24 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Suriname.  One is a grant, and the other interest-free loans, provided by the Chinese Government to the Surinamese Government.  Ambassador Su Ge, representing the Chinese Government, and Foreign Minister Kraag-Keteldijk with Finance Minister Hildenberg, representing the Surinamese Government, signed the agreements respectively.  Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mrs. Aarland-Nanhu, officials from the Ministry of Finance, Counsellor Lan Chongxin and Cai Shuizeng, staff members of the Chinese Embassy attended the ceremony.  The Ministers and Ambassador delivered friendly speeches.  Major Surinamese media covered the event.
