On November 25th, H.E. Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China sent message of congratulations to H.E. Niermala Badrising, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Suriname on the occasion of Suriname's Independence Day.

The text of the message is as follows:

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the independence of Suriname, I would like to extend my sincerest congratulations and best wishes to Your Excellency.

The China-Suriname relations are developing with sound momentum,with incessant deepening of friendly cooperation in various fields yielding fruitful results. Next year will mark the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Suriname; I would like to make joint efforts with Your Excellency,and take this anniversary as an opportunity to further strengthen the exchange and cooperation between our two Ministries and continuously promote the development of our friendly bilateral relations.
