In order to reduce cross-border transmission of Covid-19, all Chinese and foreign passengers who are to fly from Suriname to China are required to take nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests and then apply for a green health code with the"HS"mark or a green health declaration code with the "HDC" mark before boarding the flight in both Suriname and the transit country.

The latest specific requirements are as follows,effective from Jan 25, 2021:

I. Test Requirements

Passengers going to China via connecting flights must take nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests in Suriname within 48 hours before boarding their flight to the transit country and then take both tests again in the transit country within 48 hours before boarding the plane to China. Passengers must apply at the Chinese embassies in BOTH countries for green health codes with the"HS"mark or green health declaration code with the "HDC" marks with certificates of negative results of both tests.

III. Chinese Passengers Applying for Green Health Code with the"HS"Mark

Chinese passengers must upload to the WeChat Health Code app photos of their negative nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests results,which will then be examined and verified by the Chinese embassies. Then they will get the green health code with the"HS"mark. Passengers must present the green code within its validity period to the airlines flying directly to China before boarding.

IV. Foreign Passengers Applying for Green Health Declaration Code with the "HDC" Mark

Foreign passengers should log in to the website https://hrhk.cs.mfa.gov.cn/H5/ after obtaining negative certificates of both the nucleic acid test and the IgM antibody test, and fill in information, declare health status, and upload test certificates and other materials. After Chinese Embassies or Consulate in the country where the tests are done have examined all the information and materials, a Health Declaration Form (E-version) will be issued through the website. The Form will be displayed as a QR code with the "HDC" mark. Foreign passengers must present the electronic or printed QR code within its validity period for Airlines to check when boarding.

V. Reminder

Please read the requirements carefully and follow them accordingly. Failure to obtain the green health code with the "HS" mark or green health declaration code with the "HDC" mark with negative nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests results means you do not qualify for boarding the flight to China and will have to change your itinerary.

If you must go to China via connecting flights, please check the transit country's entry regulations and its nucleic acid and IgM anti-body tests requirements beforehand. Failure to enter the transit country or meet the requirements regarding the tests could result in being stranded and heightened infection risks.
