Notice on the Introduction of Biometric Visas

As of January 1, 2023, the Chinese Embassy in Suriname will collect the finger prints ofordinary visa applicants. Applicants will need to come to the Chinese Embassy in person to provide their finger prints. The following applicants are exempted from this requirement:

1. Applicants under 14 or above 70;

2. Diplomatic passport holders or applicants who meet the requirements for diplomatic visa, courtesy visa or official visa;

3. Applicants who have left their finger prints with the Chinese Embassy in Suriname 5 years within their last application for Chinese visas;

4. Physically challenged applicants who are unable to leave any finger print.

    Any fraud in visa application process may render border entry impossible for the applicant.
