September 18, 2025 – Ambassador Lin Ji of the People’s Republic of China to Suriname paid a courtesy call on H.E. Lalinie Gopal, Suriname’s New Minister of Youth Development and Sports.

Ambassador Lin stated that China-Suriname friendship has a long-standing history, and in recent years, the two countries have achieved fruitful results in exchanges and cooperation across various fields. China attaches great importance to its relationship with Suriname and is willing to explore cooperation potential in the fields of youth and sports, enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples, and inject new momentum into the development of the China-Suriname strategic cooperative partnership.
