On October 16, 2025, Ambassador Lin Ji attended the "Chinese Ambassador Scholarship" award ceremony and the inauguration of the library at the Suriname Chinese School. Suriname Chinese School Principal Chen Shunjun, all teachers and students, and representatives from the Chinese community participated in the event.

In his address, Ambassador Lin Ji stated that this is the first time the Embassy presented the "Chinese Ambassador Scholarship" to students of the Suriname Chinese School, which holds special significance. He congratulated all the award-winning students and encouraged them to persist in their efforts and continue striving for new achievements, making Chinese a bridge for learning the excellent Chinese culture and fostering friendship between China and Suriname.

Subsequently, Ambassador Lin Ji cut the ribbon to inaugurate the School's library. He also visited classrooms across different grades, engaging in face-to-face communication with teachers and students. Ambassador Lin encouraged the students to make full use of resources such as the School's library, study Chinese diligently, and grow into talents proficient in the languages and cultures of both China and Suriname, thereby contributing to the friendly cooperation between the two nations.

Principal Chen expressed gratitude for the Embassy's long-term support, stating that the School will continue its commitment to providing quality Chinese language education and make greater contributions to promoting people-to-people and cultural exchanges between China and Suriname, as well as enhancing mutual understanding between the two peoples. The students thanked the Embassy for its encouragement and recognition, pledging to continue their efforts in learning Chinese well and living up to the Embassy's earnest expectations.
