To further facilitate visa applicants, from now until December 31, 2026, Chinese visa authorities abroad will waive fingerprinting for all applicants for short-term visas with a stay of 180 days or less.

For applicants with visas under the D, J1, Q1, S1, X1, and Z visas, which require a residence permit upon entry, fingerprinting will still be collected as required.
